I personally think that everyone needs to have a crock pot in their home. Ok, if I'm being completely honest, I think there should be crock pots of all sizes in every home. Since I feel so strong about this I've decided to do a "1,000 Followers Giveaway". Besides, what a great way to start off the New Year!

The previous giveaway went so well that I'm kind of going to stay along those same lines. I want everyone to have a chance to win so here is how it's going to work:
- The giveaway will happen as soon as Crock Pot Recipe Exchange reaches 1,000 Google Friend Connect Followers. So make sure to let all of your friends know they can follow Crock Pot Recipe Exchange through GFC.
- A mandatory entry is required by giving a comment (in this post ONLY) on your favorite crock pot recipe starting with today's date. If there's one that you want to try or that you have tried, leave a comment letting us know.
- One additional entry can be received for submitting a crock pot recipe on the facebook fan page under the "Reader Recipes" tab.
- One additional entry can be received by tweeting about this giveaway and using the hashtag #ILoveCrockPots
- One additional entry can be received by being a facebook follower and leaving a comment on this post ONLY.
- A winner will be chosen by random.org.

I would have to say my favorite crock pot recipe is yummy RIBS. I would also love to try April's To-Die For Pot Roast and Chicken Vindaloo. We love Indian food!

My favorite recipe for crock pot cooking is one I've perfected:
JQ's Sausage/Veggie Soup
1 lb skinless sausage cut into piecs
1 each - can 14oz corn, green beans, carrots, diced tomaotes w onion, tomato sauce, chicken broth
1 tbsp jalapenos (chopped fine) and garlic.
1 tsp each curry powder, tumeric, paprika, salt and pepper.
Add to 5 qt crock and cook on low all day. add more water at your discretion.
Come home to a wonderful scent.
Black eyed peas and hog jowls are on the menu for tomorrow for good luck!

It may not be the BEST recipe out there but my favorite thing to cook in my crock pot is beans. dry pinto beans turn on low and in the morning you have fabulous beans. its better than having them on thr stove all day. :-)

Again, the Crock Pot Candy has been a favorite this holiday season. I shared it with 2 more people at work today. Being a single mom, I am looking to really add some recipes that will make coming home after work easier and not as stressful because the meal will already be done.. Thanks for sharing ideas..
1/6/2012 My favorite is my Pepper Steak that I posted with the last giveaway. SO easy, inexpensive, versatile and delicious! There are many recipes I wanna try and will get around to once I get a new crockpot (if I won it would facilitate that, otherwise gotta wait till Mother's Day).

My family likes it when I make bbq pulled pork sandwiches in my crockpot. Now I'm hunting for a good recipe for bbq pulled beef sandwich w/o the mustard. Now that I found your site I'll be trying some of your recipes soon.
I loved the beans and weanies recipe. Made plenty and we ate it for several days. Yum!
