Now that the holidays are upon us I get lots of emails, messages and notes on what I use and what I recommend for gifts. I have a multitude of crock pots that I use, but I also have accessories and cookbooks that I use and would highly recommend for the slow cooker lovers and users in your life.
Slow Cookers:
Hamilton Beach: I have a 6 quart with a locking lid that I’ve had for years and it is a dependable, affordable slow cooker that every kitchen should have.
Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker: I have several of their products including the Lunch Crock, Duo, Create-A-Crock™ and Digital Slow Cooker with iStir™ Stirring System. I use the different ones for different occasions but they are all at great price points and make the perfect gifts for families, college students and even those single friends.
Cookbooks:Slow Cooker Revolution: This is very informative and comes from the wonderful people at America’s Test Kitchen. It’s a must for the kitchen cookbook collection.The Vegan Slow Cooker: This is a cookbook from my friend Kathy. She has done a great job at making vegans and meat eaters alike want to use the crock pot more often. One of my families favorite breakfasts come from this cookbook. I also use a recipe from this often for Meatless Mondays. Accessories:Reynold’s Slow Cooker Liners: These are great as a stocking stuffer or as a bonus with a crock pot or cookbook as a gift. I use them often for easy clean up and easy lifting from the crock pot.McCormick Spices Slow Cooker Recipe Mixes: I think these are great stocking stuffers for the foodie in your life. You could also do nice “gift basket” and include this with some Slow Cooker Liners and and oven mitt or pot holder. I especially love the Hearty Beef Stew and Beef Stroganoff Mixes.
