Carrie B.’s Cincinnati Crock Pot Chili

Traditionally crock pot chili is made for Super Bowl Sunday in my home. Carrie B. is sharing her recipe for Cincinnati Chili (which I must admit, we probably won’t wait until the Super Bowl to try). It looks absolutely delicious. Here is how she does it:   -1 1/2 lb lean ground beef
-1 can (29oz) tomato sauce
-1 can (14 1/2 oz) peeled whole tomatoes
-small onion, chopped
-1/2 tsp cinnamon
-1/2 tsp all spice
-1 tsp salt
-1/2 tsp pepper
-1 1/2 Tbsp chili powder
-1 Tbsp white vinegar
-1 clove garlic
-3 bay leaves   Brown meat with onions–drain grease.  Place meat and onions in crockpot.  Add rest of ingrediants,  except garlic and bay leaves.  Break up whole tomatoes and stir to combine.  Add garlic and bay leaves.  Cook on low 4-5 hours.  Remove garlic and bay leaves before serving. Serve over a bed of spaghetti and top with cheddar cheese.   Thanks for sharing Carrie B.!
