Creamy Corn

This is one of my favorite side dishes. It gives a good alternative to creamed style corn (which I love too). The entire family (including the kiddos) will be asking for seconds of this. I've found that it also makes a great side dish at holidays.

8 ounce pkg. cream cheese

1/4 cup unsalted butter

32 oz. pkg. frozen corn{we like white corn, it has the best flavor}

1/3 cup sugar

OPTIONAL:1-3 tsp. water.

In a 2 - 3 quart crock pot let cream cheese and butter soften in slow cooker on LOW about 10 minutes.

Add corn and sugar.

Stir well,until corn is coated with the cream cheese mixture.

Cover;cook on LOW for 3-4 hours,stirring occasionally.

If corn seems too thick, add water as needed just before serving.

serves 6-8.
