Dump Cake

Crock Pot Dump Cake..... bwahahahaha :D As funny as the name sounds... it's really delicious. It's truly that simple, just dump everything in. Set and forget it.

-1 box (18.25 ounces) moist lemon cake mix

-1 can of blueberry pie filling

-1 small can pineapple tidbits, drained

-1 stick of butter, melted

-¼ cup chopped pecans, optional

Grease a 2½-3 quart slow cooker very well. In a small bowl, mix the pie filling and pineapples. Dump the mixture into the slow cooker. Evenly shake the box of cake mix over the pie filling mixture. Pour the melted butter (again, evenly), over the top of the dry cake mix. Sprinkle the pecans over the top. Place a paper towel over the top of the slow cooker, securing it with the lid. Turn the slow cooker to low and cook for 2 - 3 hours. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream if you like.

  4. Found this blog on Mama's little Nestwork, and I'm so excited that I stumbled upon this blog! I can't wait to try some recipes especially since fall is in the air!!

  5. I'm wondering if another type of pie filling could be used. I am very allergic to blueberries but think they recipe sounds delicious if I could use another type of fruit pie filling.

    1. Mary, we have used cherry and it was delicious. I also substituted almonds for pecans when I did the cherry. This recipe is a guideline really. you can use any cake, pie filling and nut combination that sounds good to you. The possibilities are endless!! :)

  6. I just made this but had to improvise. I layered pineapple rings then APPLEPIE filling. Then cake mix and half stick of melted butter and a little PINAPPLE juice. Guess I'll see in a few hours. Thanks Cookin' Moma..
